What does QueerProv do?

  1. Function as a not-for-profit society dedicated to creating a Queer community that creates, supports, enjoys, and teaches improvisational (improv) theatre.
  2. Give voice to diverse members of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ+) community through improv theatre.
  3. Create public presentations that promote diverse members of the LGBTQ+ community to the community at large.

Sounds important!

It is. Besides improv, we also choose partners and causes for fundraising throughout the year. This includes Pride, Rainbow Refugee, and other local outreaches.

Improv, you say?

Yes, our most common format is half-games half-longform. We've run a variety of formats including games, longform, competitive formats, musicals, and mixers involving folks from the comedy, queer, and arts communities. If you've never seen improv before, you're in for a treat...

Improv is a genre of theatre in which all of the performers are making everything up on the spot. The dialogue and situations have never been seen before - never to be seen again. The result is a freewheeling and often hilarious method of storytelling.

If you have any other questions, we're on social media @QueerProv or info (at) queerprov.com

See you at our next show!
